What's New!

November 25th, 2003

Hey Ya'll,
I've been in the studio doing a new CD for the last couple of weeks, and I think it will be ready for release by Bike Week! We will announce it in January, but I'm gonna give you a heads up right now. I've brought in the usual suspects of course (Johnny Bird and Fish), but on bass is that wild and woolly Funk Brother BOB BABBITT!! Bob played on many Motown Hits when the label was in Detroit, in fact he pretty much saw it all in its heyday. I am very proud and honored to have him on board for this project! We'll keep you posted on a release date.

I want to remind all of you too that during this Holiday season while contemplating that new motorcycle your gonna get from Santa or that boob job your gonna get the ol' lady, lets give thanks for our armed forces protecting our freedom and making sure we have these holidays for generations to come. God Bless them everyone!! PLEASE have a safe and happy holiday season! From all of us at Griffin Entertainment and Chrome link records,
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well ya'll, as we end our ridin season and begin the Holidays, its time to reflect on the year gone past and the year ahead. I want to thank all of you for making this year the most satisfying and successful one in our history. Thanks to all our friends at Global Motorsports, Custom Chrome, Easyriders magazine, Swift Motorcycle Co, Thunder Roads Magazine, as well as all the promoters and event directors too numerous to mention. AND A BIG THANK YOU!! to all of you that attended our shows and bought our cd's. We really appreciate it!

I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season, and be sure to look for us on the road, bringing the blues and the party to you!! Until next time remember to Keep the Rubber side DOWN!!!!

Man, what an August it has been!! We did about 6,000 miles of shows, from Stugis to Connecticut, then to the mother of all parties, Milwaukee. I want to thank all of our fans for making this last month, in fact this whole year unforgettable! It was terrific and we are looking towards a great fall and winter. As you can see, we will be in Florida for the party at Biketoberfest. Hope you all can join us for the grand finale of the major runs, it promises to be a great one.

Now I 'gotta say something. I am pretty disgusted at the way some people in the media are trying to run this war. I come from a military town, (Lawton/ Ft. Sill OK.) and I'm sick of all these people saying our soldiers are whining about their deployment. I have a lot of friends and some family serving in Iraq, and I can tell you they are there for the long haul and do there job. Nobody wanted this war, but we are gonna finish it.
Please support our President and our troops, they really deserve it, and for my money, they are doing an outstanding job of it. So when you hear someone complaining about the way this war is being run, remind them that they live in a country that was purchased with blood of patriots and will continue to be, as long as evil tyrants rule countries that want what we have. Our way of life is an abomination to them, and they don't want us to exist, so they are doing all they can to destroy it. Lets stand together and run these vermin back into the holes they crawled out of. 'Nuff said...

I hope everyone is having a safe and happy riding season, I know you are having a wet and hot one!! We've been on the road for most of it and it sure has been good to see you all at our shows.

Make plans to be with us in Sturgis S.D. this year on August 3rd for the Swift motorcycle party at the Full Throttle Saloon. It will be a blast, and you will have the first look at some terrific bikes, man they are SWEET!!!
Also, make plans to be at the Columbia TN. Blues and Barbeque Fest as well as the Hog Valley Rally in Graham KY. Both events promise to be AWESOME!!

Many of you have asked when I'm gonna put out a new CD, and I am working on it, I hope to have it out before October. I'll keep you posted.

Please take a minute to count your blessings and thank God you live in a country where we can ride and live free. Support our President and our troops in Iraq, and also Keep the rubber side down!!!!!!!!

Well its a beautiful day in Tennessee, so I'm gonna get on the shovel and take a ride, but before I do, I want to thank everyone who came to the Easyriders Bike Shows and made it such a great success!! We had a ball! Thanks and kudos to Cathy Chaffin and her fine staff for making us feel like part of the family, we really appreciate it.

Also, be sure to catch our show, at Metal Rebel Customs in Winston/Salem this June, that place rocks!! Also, I'd like to invite the hometown crowd out to my Summer party in Lawton on May 31st at the Diamondback Saloon. We're gonna have a GREAT time, and maybe we can fit a ride in through the Wichitas for good measure.

I also want to remind all of you guys, PLEASE, if you bring your kids to one of my shows, make sure they have hearing protection. We play fairly loud, and I don't want to damage their hearing. As a matter of fact, it wouldn't be a bad idea for all of you to wear hearing protection at concerts and while riding your bike. I want your ears to be in good shape to listen to our CDs!!

Ya'll ride safe, I gotta go get the Shovel, it's calling my name!!

Keep the rubber side down!!

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Holiday season, and I know everyone is gearing up for a terrific riding season! Hope we get to see everyone at least one or two shows this year.

We are working on a new CD right now and hope to have it ready by late summer or fall. Of course it will be blues based and have a few bike songs as well, but I think on this one I'm gonna get back to my roots. Its gonna have some surprises, as well as some different stuff on it. I'm also working on some gust stars for it too. Lets keep our fingers crossed!!

Make sure when your at your favorite bike shop or watering hole pick up a copy of
Thunder Roads magazine, its the best source to find out what's happening in the area. Speaking of favorite Bike shops make sure you go by CLASSIC CUSTOM CYCLES in Murfreesboro Tn. (615) 893-7458. Dewayne, Eddy and John know their stuff. Make sure you tell 'em Big Mike sent you!!

Well… Better Run, gotta go to Florida!
Until next time, KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it's been quite a year for us! We had mostly sold out shows and had the chance to meet quite a few new people this year. Make sure you come and see us at the Easyriders bike shows in your area. We are working with Edgar Winter this year and as you know, HE ROCKS!!

Also I want to invite everyone in Florida to come to Coco Beach on the 22nd of February For the ARC ride and show with Mickey Jones from Home Improvement and many motion pictures. He's a tremendous guy, and I know he'd like to meet all of you. Call Rock Hartley (478) 892-2648 for details.

I also want to congratulate Randy Burnette and his staff at Metal Rebel Customs in Winston-Salem N.C for opening one of the nicest Bike Shops in the Southeast (or anywhere for that matter),we had a great time at his first annual "Chicken Stew",
Keep it up Ya'll!!

On a more personal note, I know we are living in uncertain times, and nobody knows what's gonna happen around the corner, but I cant help believe that we as Americans wont come out on top. Sometimes it seems that we are so divided that we'll never get it sorted out, but I also know that when it gets rough, we put our differences aside, and pull together, making it happen. That's what makes us Americans, and its what makes America the greatest country in the world. So during this holiday season, please don't take it for granted… how lucky we are and fortunate enough to live in a country that allows us to ride our motors anytime we feel like it, and as far as we feel like it. Freedom is the rarest of gifts, and we all get that gift 365 days a year. It's worth fighting for. So dear friends, from Ahab, Johnny,MT, Chrome Link Records, Griffin Entertainment and myself, I want to wish you the Merriest Christmas, and Happiest New Year ever!!!
May God bless you and your families… Ride safe and remember...

Keep the Rubber side DOWN!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

Until I see you on the road, take care, and watch out for your brothers and sisters. And remember… Keep the Rubber side down!!

Hello from Nashville Tennessee!!

Sorry we haven't updated for a while, but the good new s is that our new CD "Livin Large" is in the can and is going to be released in January!

The CD features some of the best vocalists and musicians in Nashville, and features the legendary BUDDY MILES!! That's right, the drummer for Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana is on my New CD!! Talk about being in HOG HEAVEN!!

This is our biggest CD yet, and I think there is something on it for everyone. It will be available on our website Jan. 20th, I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

On the cover is my new bike that Chrome Specialties built for me. It's called Livin Large too. It really lives up to its name. Its 10 feet long and has a 113 cubic inch S&S motor in it!! Its AWESOME!! Thanks Mr. Lucky and you beautiful bevy of bodacious babes for making my Christmas UNREAL.

Speaking of Christmas, I hope each and every one of you have a safe and happy holiday season. I promise I will update more often now that the CD is finished.

Hope to see you at one of my shows.

Hey Ya'll!!
Its been a busy summer for us road dogs!! It sure has been great meeting all of you, and hanging out with everyone at the shows. Especially at WC Handy week in Muscle Shoals Alabama. It was my tenth year there, and needless to say it was a real party!! Thanks to Tom Stevenson for running me around in his gorgeous 69 Firebird convertible, and congratulations to him for winning the trophy in his class at the car show!

Michigan was beautiful as always, and I want to thank John and Carol Bird (Johnnys folks) for extending such great hospitality to me at their beautiful home at the lake. Thanks for putting up with me, you all are the greatest!! If you get up to Union city Michigan, make sure you check out Turtle Lake resort its Biker friendly!!! Ma Turtle and Louie will make you feel right at home!!

My friends at the Bayport Inn in Springhill are having a rough time with the county government right now, so all you west coast of Florida folks ride over and sample the best seafood in the area and support the most biker friendly bar in Spinghill. They are good people and don't deserve the crap the county is laying on them.

On a lighter note... Hope to see everyone at the Four Corners rally on Thursday, and at the Summitt in Durango on the weekend...Lets Rock!!

Biketober Fest is right around the corner, so I'll see you at the Full Moon Saloon. We're playing the early show this year so see ya around 7:00!

Better run for now... see you on the road and Keep the Rubber side DOWN!!!

Hello from the road!

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while, but I promise I will keep the letters coming in on a more regular basis.

It was good to see all my friends in Myrtle Beach. I'm sorry it was at a DISCO, but sometimes ya takes what ya gets! Kelly Breyare was a fantastic hostess and everyone was great to us, although I don't think that was our kind of place. I'd sure like to go back to Myrtle Beach, so if anyone knows a spot, let me know.

We had a killer time in Amarillo Tx at The Grizzly Bar and the next night at J&Js. The living legend, Buddy Miles, set in with us and it just doesn't get any better than that!!

Of course the customer appreciation day was GREAT!! It's always a blast to play in Lawton and see all my "homies".

I want to thank Rickenjacks Pub and Fred's in Lake Charles Louisiana, for letting us do our thing You have to check those places out if you get down there! By the way, a personal "I love you guys" goes to Don and Ladonna McKnight for putting up with us for the weekend. You guys are the best!!!

The Easyriders Rodeo in Sedalia Mo.was cool. Thanks again to Cathy Chaffin!!

Well I better get after it... We're starting a new CD on the Chrome Link label, so I better start learning the tunes.

Hello from the road!

I hope everyone had a great New Year,   I know we did!

I'd like to thank Larry Hilderbrand for his hospitality at Live Oak resort.   His facility and staff are first class! If you visit Texas, check out his events in the spring and summer, or just stop by and say HI!

I have a Very Important announcement to make! As you know, I do a lot of motor related events. These gigs and my producer Ahab, have brought us to a partnership with Chrome Specialties, one of the largest dealers of parts and after-market accessories in the world of motorcycles!   Both of our albums, "Harley In The Rain" and "Twin Brothers of Different Mothers" will be offered in their 2000 catalog! I am very excited about this merger of BIKES AND BLUES! Thanks to Chrome Specialties for their vision and wisdom in expanding their business to include the biker "lifestyle" of great music!
